Fosterton Farm Flour
:: Megann’s  Kitchen ::

fosterton freshly milled unbleached flour
Fosterton Farm Flour “is lighter and softer and the volatile germ oils are not lost or destroyed by oxidisation or evaporation. Wheat grain in particular is a rich source of vitamins and minerals which become readily available as the grain is ground in the millstones. ‘Readily available’ means easier to digest, so the gut better takes in the nutrients on offer, therefore better health benefits.”

I first discovered this gorgeous flour at the Newcastle City Farmers Markets. It is simply divine in quality & when making breads & dough’s, it’s ideal. I find the flavour & texture that you receive from this flour adds such a country, home loving touch that there is nothing else that I use for my Banana Bread & Pizza Dough. Get in early though, they sell out fast!
